To pay homage to the sacred duality, we establish an altar and offer gifts to the four elements. The earth represents food, seeds, and flowers, while the fire cleanses and purifies the energies. Air is represented by prayers and music, which harmonize the frequencies, and water helps balance the emotions.
During the ceremony, the couple is purified with copal, sacred herbs, and eggs, thereby re-establishing the energetic union between the souls, the universe, and mother earth.
