Shiatsu originated in Japan. It is based on traditional Chinese medicine with elements of Western therapies. Similarly to acupuncture, Shiatsu activates specific acupressure points – known as meridians -according to the needs of the client.
It relies on the use the fingers, thumbs and palm to apply pressure to various areas of the body’s surface to help heal common ailments and conditions, and correct imbalances in the body.
It is a non-invasive therapy that helps reduce stress, tension, anxiety and depression by leaving you relaxed and calm.
Realigns the energetic channels, helps relax the body, increase blood flow and improves breathing and circulation.
It has positive effects on the nervous and digestive system.
It amplifies the body’s own ability to heal itself.
